Bellevue open house to discuss downtown sewer projects

Bellevue will host an open house from 6-8 p.m. Thursday to discuss and get feedback on sewer projects that will begin in August at for four downtown locations.

 

Bellevue will host an open house from 6-8 p.m. Thursday to discuss and get feedback on sewer projects that will begin in August at for four downtown locations.

The open house will be in the Bellevue City Hall concourse, 450 110th Ave. NE.

The open house will provide information on traffic impacts, including road and lane closures, and detours around work sites at the following locations:

NE 8th Street and Bellevue Way: Construction is planned to start the evening of Friday, Aug. 17 and continue 24 hours a day through the early morning of Monday, Aug. 20, followed by several evenings of paving and striping work.

NE 8th Street and 106th Avenue NE: Construction is planned to start the evening of Friday, Aug. 24 and continue 24 hours a day through the early morning of Monday, Aug. 27, followed by several evenings of paving and striping work.

Main Street between 106th Avenue NE and 107th Avenue NE: Construction is planned to begin mid to late September. Work will occur Monday to Friday during the day and is expected to last one to two weeks.

NE 2nd Street and 112th Avenue NE: Construction is planned to begin late September or early October. Work will occur Monday to Friday during the day and last for two to three weeks.

The projects will involve installing new pipe to meet future sewage demand and replacing damaged pipe. More details about start dates and road closures/detours will be sent out closer to construction start dates. Information will also be available at the open house where city staff will answer questions.
