Bellevue man arrested in fatal car-motorcycle accident

A Bellevue man is in custody following a fatal collision Friday night between a car and a motorcycle.

 

A Bellevue man is in custody following a fatal collision Friday night between a car and a motorcycle.

Bellevue Police say the man, driving an Acura coup, attempted to make a left hand turn to north bound 102 Avenue Northeast from Northeast 10th Street when the vehicle struck a motorcycle.

The accident occurred at 6 p.m.

Witnesses attempted CPR on the 29-year-old motorcyclist until medics arrived. The man was transported to Overlake Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

After the initial interview of the driver of the coup, officers placed the 33-year-old male Bellevue resident into custody for investigation vehicular homicide.

The King County Medical Examiner will release the name of the deceased after their examination and the immediate family has been notified.
