Bellevue has openings on utilities, park boards

The Bellevue City Council is seeking candidates for upcoming vacancies on the Environmental Services Commission and Parks and Community Services Board. Terms are four years and expire on May 31 of the last year of the term.

The Environmental Services Commission, which will have two vacancies in June, advises the City Council regarding the city’s water, sewer, solid waste and storm and surface water programs. Comprised of seven people who live in the service area for either Bellevue’s water or sewer systems, the commission meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

The Parks and Community Services Board, which will have one vacancy in June, advises the council regarding parks and open space issues as well as policies related to community services. Comprised of seven Bellevue residents, the board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

Applications are due to the City Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m., Friday, April 23. Residents in newly annexed areas are particularly encouraged to apply. The city of Bellevue values diversity.
