Bellevue fire stations accepting toys for needy kids

All nine Bellevue fire stations are collecting new, unwrapped, toys for the Toys For Tots Foundation, which will distribute them to children in need. Toys will be accepted through Sunday, Dec. 21.

Toys should be appropriate for the age groups of infant through 18 years old. Past experience has shown that childhood toys are more common, but that items for older children are sometimes lacking. Despite the desire to have all toys by the 21st, toys may be dropped off up to Christmas Eve. These last-minute dropoffs will be distributed to local charities also in need of toy donations.

This year’s collection is being organized by the Bellevue Firefighter Community Support Foundation.
