The Bellevue Fire Department is looking for input to shape its strategic plan.
The Bellevue department does more than fight fires and perform CPR, preparing the city for disasters and preventing fires through inspections among other things. Prioritizing services and investments is particularly important when a sluggish economy necessitates budget cuts.
The strategic plan is typically updated every five years. The 2007-2012 strategic plan is accessible online.
Fire Department officials are asking people to share input and help shape the future of the fire department. The strategic plan survey will be available online through Jan. 29. In addition to English, the survey is available in Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese.
