The residents of a Yarrow Bay-area condominium complex are all uninjured and back in their homes after a fire in the building’s attic on July 23.

The Bellevue Fire Department responded to a fire late on the evening of July 23 in the attic of a condominium complex in the 10800 block of NE 37th Pl. Upon arrival, they found smoke coming from the third floor and a fire in the building’s attic space.

Although there was heavy fire in the attic space, only 3 of the 27 condominiums were damaged. Most occupants were able to return to the building within three hours. Firefighters also rescued two cats.

No residents or firefighters were injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
