The Bellevue Chamber Foundation has awarded five $1,500 scholarships to Bellevue School District graduating seniors. They are:
- Maggie MacMichael, Sammamish High School, Ralph James Family Memorial Scholarship/Business
- Brandon Ngo, Sammamish High School, Washington Federal Scholarship
- Alicia Saxena, Interlake High School, Bellevue Chamber Foundation STEM Scholarship
- Logan Schmidt, International School, KeyBank Bellevue Chamber Foundation Scholarship
- Cheyanne Wooten, Sammamish High School, Bellevue Chamber Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship award presentation will take place at the Bellevue Chamber Business Lunch: “Big Data – It’s Here, Now What?” from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, 900 Bellevue Way N.E. Funding for 2014 scholarships was made possible through the support of Washington Federal, Legacy Sponsor of the Bellevue Chamber’s Spirit of Bellevue Run/Walk and other community partners. This year’s Run/Walk & Kid’s Fun Run is set for Sunday, Aug. 10.

The event offers a scenic 12K (7.46 miles) route for runners as well as a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk route for the whole family. Both courses start and end in Bellevue Downtown Park. A Health & Wellness Fair also will be held at the park.
