Bellevue Chamber Foundation awards five scholarships

The Bellevue Chamber Foundation has awarded five $1,500 scholarships to Bellevue School District graduating seniors.

 

The Bellevue Chamber Foundation has awarded five $1,500 scholarships to Bellevue School District graduating seniors. They are:

  • Maggie MacMichael, Sammamish High School, Ralph James Family Memorial Scholarship/Business
  • Brandon Ngo, Sammamish High School, Washington Federal Scholarship
  • Alicia Saxena, Interlake High School, Bellevue Chamber Foundation STEM Scholarship
  • Logan Schmidt, International School, KeyBank Bellevue Chamber Foundation Scholarship
  • Cheyanne Wooten, Sammamish High School, Bellevue Chamber Foundation Scholarship

The scholarship award presentation will take place at the Bellevue Chamber Business Lunch: “Big Data – It’s Here, Now What?” from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, 900 Bellevue Way N.E. Reservations are required and can be made online at www.bellevuechamber.org or by calling 425-454-2464.

Funding for 2014 scholarships was made possible through the support of Washington Federal, Legacy Sponsor of the Bellevue Chamber’s Spirit of Bellevue Run/Walk and other community partners. This year’s Run/Walk & Kid’s Fun Run is set for Sunday, Aug. 10.

Registration for the event can be made at www.SpiritofBellevueRun.com to receive the early bird discount.

The event offers a scenic 12K (7.46 miles) route for runners as well as a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk route for the whole family. Both courses start and end in Bellevue Downtown Park. A Health & Wellness Fair also will be held at the park.
