Beverly Daugherty, National President of the National Society of Daughters of the American Colonists, will attend and be honored at the Annual Washington State Assembly to be held in Bellevue on September 10-11 at the Red Lion Inn.
Daugherty is a descendant of William Frampton, a Quaker from Philadelphia. She joined the Daughters of the American Colonists in 1967 and has held many offices in the State of Pennsylvania Society and at the national level.
As National President, she is committed to the emphasis of patriotism, education, and history. Her term project will be repairing, refinishing and/or replacing the furnishings of the historic National Headquarters Building in Washington, DC.
The National Society of the Daughters of the American Colonists is an organization of women who prove their descent from American colonial settlers who gave military or civil service in the colonies prior to July 4, 1776.
Washington state has four chapters, which are Pilchuck (in the Marysville area), Spokane Falls, Tumwater Falls (Olympia), and Snoqualmie Falls (east King County).

Washington State Regent Maralyn Ricketts and Snoqualmie Falls Chapter Regent Penny Genise have planned the assembly to also feature the Women’s Air Service Pilots of World War II. Assembly attendees will have a tour of the Museum of Flight on Friday. Former pilots have been invited to attend the program and luncheon in their honor on Saturday, September 11.
