Anthony Primozich | obituary

Anthony “Tony” Primozich of Bellevue died Dec. 5, 2009 in Bellevue. He was 95.

Mr. Primozich was born April 23, 1914 in Eveleth, Minn. to Frank and Mary Primozich. He married Christine Strukel in Milwaukee, Wisc. in September 1946.

Mr. Primozich retired from the Milwaukee Police Department in 1968 after serving 25 years on the force as a Patrolman. Tony and Christine moved to Bellevue in 1971 to be near their daughter and her family.

Mr. Primozich was a member of the SNPJ – Slovenian Lodge and became a Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Bellevue Post 2995 in 1997. Tony enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a beekeeper and raised parakeets.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Schneble of Redmond, Wash.; his sister, Frances Skalko from Virginia; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, Frank and Johnny; and two sisters, and Mary and Annie.

A funeral mass was held Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at St. Louise Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial with honors provided by U.S. Marine Corps and members of VFW Post 2995 followed at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Bellevue.
