Air defense topic of historical society meeting

Sherry Grindeland, a former reporter for the Seattle Times and board member of Eastside Heritage Center, will discuss the Eastside’s prominence in air defense during World War II and the Cold War and as well as the local connection to the D.B. Cooper mystery at a meeting of the Feb. 8 meeting of the Redmond Historical Society.

The event will be from 10:30 to noon at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center, 16600 N.E. 80th St., Redmond.
