After Tri-Cities capture, alleged identity thief will face charges in Bellevue

Patrick McCabe, who was wanted in connection to identity theft activity investigated July 3, was arrested Wednesday morning in Eastern Washington.

A man wanted in connection to an identity theft operation uncovered earlier this month was picked up in the Tri-Cities by investigators Wednesday morning, according to a release from the Bellevue Police Department.

The department received a tip on the whereabouts of Patrick McCabe from a viewer of “Washington’s Most Wanted.” The show aired a segment on McCabe July 19.

The tip led investigators to a residence in the Tri-Cities area of Washington. Plans call for McCabe to be transported to Bellevue for charges related to identity theft and fraud.

A patrol officer discovered a cache of dozens of forged IDs and credit cards — and hundreds of forged checks — in a 126th Place Northeast condominium earlier in July while investigating the reported theft of road construction signs.
