48th District Democrats to caucus on March 9

The mid-term Democratic caucus for the 48th Legislative District will be 1 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Rose Hill Elementary School cafeteria, 8110 128th Ave. N.E., Kirkland.

 

The mid-term Democratic caucus for the 48th Legislative District will be 1 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Rose Hill Elementary School cafeteria, 8110 128th Ave. N.E., Kirkland.

Keynote speakers include 48th Rep. Ross Hunter and Senate candidate Joan McBride, former Kirkland Mayor.

The caucus will consider platform proposals and resolutions and elect eight delegates and six alternates to join ex-officio members at the Washington State Democratic Convention in Spokane on June 21.

Platform items and resolutions for referral to the state convention or county convention on April 12 also will be considered.

Any registered voter in the 48th legislative district or 17-year-old who will be eligible to register to vote in the November 2014 general election may vote at the caucus.

The 48th district includes parts of Bellevue, Kirkland and Redmond and all of Medina, Clyde Hill and Hunts Point. For more information contact district chair Chair Phil Kouse at 48thdems@gmail.com.
