1,500 runners expected at 5K Run/Walk on April 25

A total of 1,500 runners are expected to participate in the Breakfast Rotary Club (BBRC) Bellevue 5K Run/Walk on April 25. The flat, fast 3.1 mile course starts and finishes at Bellevue’s Crossroads Park.

The route will move through surrounding East Bellevue neighborhoods, before turning back to finish at the park, located at Northeast Eighth Street and 164th Avenue Northeast.

The event will benefit Kindering and other youth projects. Kindering provides individualized family-centered early intervention services for children who are disabled, medically fragile, or vulnerable because of abuse or neglect.

A number of local companies are supporting the event, including Brooks Running, Microsoft Corporation, the city of Bellevue.

“It will be such a fun and healthy event,” said Mimi Siegel, Executive Director of Kindering, “and we are thrilled that the course centers on Crossroads Park, our neighborhood jewel.”
