Thirteen students from the Bellevue area or who attend Bellevue schools have been named National Merit Scholarship winners.
National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners are the Finalists in each state judged to have
the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. They were selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors.

Changlin Li, Interlake, probable career field: Physics. Changlin is an intern this year at the Bellevue Reporter. He will attend Harvard in the fall.
Jonathan Y. Li, Lakeside School, probable career field: Medicine.
Katherine A. Long, Bellevue High School, probable career field: Journalism.
Maria M. Pimenova, Interlake, probable career field: Computer Science.
