Taproot Christmas play performed Dec. 7

“The Innkeepers’ Christmas,” a play by Taproot Theatre’s touring company, will be performed Dec. 7 during the Sunday service at Lake Sammamish Foursquare Church, 14434 N.E. Eighth St., Bellevue.

 

“The Innkeepers’ Christmas,” a play by Taproot Theatre’s touring company, will be performed Dec. 7 during the Sunday service at Lake Sammamish Foursquare Church, 14434 N.E. Eighth St., Bellevue.

The 10 a.m. service is open to the public and starts with a time of worship, followed by the performance.

“The Innkeepers’ Christmas” reframes the story of the first Christmas, telling it from the perspective of innkeepers Jacob and Miriam. The 55-minute play is written by Anne Kennedy Brady and directed by Nathan Jeffrey.

Taproot, founded in 1976, produces plays at its Seattle theater as well as traveling performances that are family friendly.

Refreshments will be served following the performance.
