Russian pianist to appear in Bellevue

The Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle presents its inaugural Eastside event, the first of a Sunday recital series, at 3 p.m, Dec. 5 at St. Thomas Church in Medina.

The Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle presents its inaugural Eastside event, the first of a Sunday recital series, at 3 p.m, Dec. 5 at St. Thomas Church in Medina. The recital will feature Alexander Ardakov, an internationally-renowned Russian pianist now living in England. He will feature music from several of the great Russian masters: Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky (“Pictures at an Exhibition”), Scriabin and Rachmaninov. A reception to meet the musician will be he held immediately following the performance.

“The Foundation has a three-year history of offering high-end chamber music concerts at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, but this is its first event on the Eastside,” said Natalya Ageyeva, Artistic Director. “St. Thomas Church is accustomed to presenting excellent musical events and provides a wonderful atmosphere for this relaxing and delightful afternoon of great music.”
