Eastside Heritage Center teamed-up with photographer Staci Bernstein and fashion designer Christine Hynden to showcase Bellevue’s historic Winters House in a fashion shoot May 22.

Built in 1929, the Winters House (located at 2102 Bellevue Way SE) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and features a distinctive Spanish Eclectic architectural styling.

Bernstein, of Hero Labs in Bellevue, collaborated with the center to develop a public fashion shoot in order to draw attention to the venue.

“The Eastside has amazing heritage and beautiful places, like the Winters House, that are still flying under the radar,” Bernstein said. “I believe that involving the creative community can help bring awareness to some of the best kept secrets in Bellevue. My only regret is that we only planned one day for the shoot.”

The fashion shoot featured Hynden’s Wallflower collection of bold, feminine designs aimed to empower the everyday woman. The “History Brings Fashion Forward” collaborative project featured stylist Kim Hicks and models Minwang Liu, Claudia Burgos and Cindy Wang.

Eastside Heritage Center partners with the city of Bellevue to provide tours and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
