Bellevue thespians take the stage for ‘Peter Pan’

The Hi-Liners, a South King County non-profit youth theater company, will take flight with its biggest fall show ever, the high-flying Broadway Musical “Peter Pan.” Several Bellevue residents are part of the ensemble.

The Hi-Liners, a South King County non-profit youth theater company, will take flight with its biggest fall show ever, the high-flying Broadway Musical “Peter Pan.” Several Bellevue residents are part of the ensemble.

Under the direction of Kathleen Edwards, The Hi-Liners resident artistic director, 50 young people will perform the tale of the boy who would not grow up.

Four important roles are filled with Bellevue students. Lee Morris, University of Washington freshman, takes on the dual role of “Mr. Darling” and the villainous “Captain Hook,” while “John,” the middle child of the Darling family will be played by Warren Morris a sixth grader from Tillicum Middle School. Also performing key roles are Bellevue Christian ninth grader, Jake Nicholson, as “Slightly” one of the lost boys and University of Washington junior Brad Walker as “Smee,” Captain Hooks, bumbling boatswain.

“We have pulled out all the stops for this show, “said Edwards.
