The Bellevue Philharmonic (BPO) introduces a new look, new programming and a new vision to the 2008-2009 season.

Beethoven’s Triple Concerto will launch the new season at Meany Hall on Oct. 3, featuring cellist Matt Haimovitz, violinist Andy Simionescu, and pianist Claude Frank. Matt Haimovitz will then play Dvorak’s Cello Concerto on Oct. 4 and 5 as part of the opening Masterworks@Meydenbauer concerts.

Frank is internationally acclaimed for his interpretations of Beethoven and has appeared with the world’s major orchestras. Haimovitz has inspired classical music lovers and won over countless new listeners to the genre with his intimate solo performances. Romanian-born violinist Simionescu has been praised by critics for the “passion” and “elegance” of his performances and enjoys an extremely active and varied performing career.
