BAM seeking artists for next year’s artsfair

The Bellevue Arts Museum is seeking artists to apply to the 64th Bellevue Arts Museum artsfair, to be held July 23, 24 and 25, 2010. Submissions are due Jan. 29, 2010.

The Bellevue Arts Museum artsfair is the largest arts festival in the Pacific Northwest and is open to both national and international artists. All artwork must be hand-made and skillfully created. Media include drawing/pastels, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal work, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wearables and wood. BAM artsfair is a juried show and is limited to 325 exhibitors.

Artists are required to apply online at www.zapplication.org by Jan. 29, 2010. The application fee is $40. Winners will be notified by Feb. 22, 2010.

BAM will award the Carol Duke Artist Awards of Excellence, a $1,000 cash prize, to 10 artists.

Jurors for the upcoming artsfair will be Pamela Belyea – Executive Director, Gage Academy of Art (Seattle); Davira Taragin – Former Director of Exhibitions & Programs, Racine Art Museum (Racine, WI); and Lewis Wexler – Proprietor, Wexler Gallery (Philadelphia)
