We’re safer when trained people can carry guns

I just read the recent letter from Erik Anderson about boycotting QFC and Fred Meyer because of parent company Kroger's gun policy. I'm not surprised. He shows his ignorance of law abiding trained citizens carrying firearms.

I just read the recent letter from Erik Anderson about boycotting QFC and Fred Meyer because of parent company Kroger’s gun policy. I’m not surprised. He shows his ignorance of law abiding trained citizens carrying firearms.

Does he realize that there only will be criminals and bad guys with weapons where he and others shop? Is this really what he wants?

Does he not think it better to have responsibly armed citizens shopping where he and his family shop?

We are trained in the safety and use of firearms and if a bad guy happens to threaten innocent people we can and will protect the innocent.

This is what the right to bear arms is all about.

I would hate to find myself in a position where a bad guy threatens me, my family and/or friends with a weapon and I can’t protect them. I don’t think I could ever forgive myself, especially when I have the right to do so.

There have been way too many instances where armed bad guys kill and maim at places where weapons are not allowed. This madness can be stopped by not prohibiting law-abiding trained citizens from carrying firearms.
