We need a Canadian health care system here

So many people seem to think the U.S. is the only country that has a functioning health care system.

A good friend of mine is Canadian, and his Canadian wife and he live in Seattle. She recently contracted breast cancer. No problem with getting good care for them. Prompt, and complete, she is on her way to recovering.

She won’t lose her insurance now that she has gotten ill, she’ll be able to go to another job and not lose coverage or be denied, there is no cap on her total care and she didn’t wait in line. Some do, most don’t, and more importantly that is the exception. The rule is that everyone is covered.

I feel a great deal of envy for country with this system. A healthier and more secure country because it’s citizens are covered.

We can do it too. We need the public option and universal coverage.
