Vanishing bees don’t seem to be getting attention they deserve. Our ability to feed the people is in immediate danger as is the entire environment of the planet.
Bees are disappearing at a rate of 30 percent a year. That is cataclysmic and the cost of food and ability to grow it is going to be untenable if we cannot reverse our course and work with nature instead of against it.
I would like to see more front-page reminders about the situation of this planet and the havoc we humans have wreaked upon it. We must get the attention of the people to get the governments and corporations of the world to understand that we are killing ourselves in our mad rush for instant fast production for higher profits.
The EPA does not seem to actually have the power to protect our environment because, just like governments, they are run by corporate interests in short-term profits.
The EPA’s only law could be: That which is detrimental to the planet and has not had a determination of planetary effects unto the seventh generation, is against the law. We have considered all our great advances in industrialization in farming as progress. It is progress for the corporation profits, but its death for our environment.
Corporations and governments need to be held accountable regarding effects they
have wrought. We are in concert with them by not educating ourselves and our government regarding what will not be tolerated in the name of progress and profits.
Will the media take up this critical state of our planet and give it the continuous coverage it deserves?
