I appreciate the votes and support of all those who elected me to the East Bellevue Community Council. We were sworn in by Judge David Steiner at the first meeting of the year, Jan. 7, and were honored to have Mayor Claudia Balducci attend the meeting.

I plan to follow in the footsteps of my predecessor, Ken Seale, who has promised me to attend meetings and keep us updated on transportation and neighborhood issues, as well as provide his historical perspective. I look forward to introducing myself to local community groups, and addressing their concerns at the community council meetings.

I hope to see more constituents at our next regular meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 4 ( 2 days after the Seahawks win the Superbowl) at the Lake Hills Clubhouse.
