Terrorist capture a political move

In a move rife with political cynicism the glacial Obama administration has finally made a move. I refer of course to the so-called capture of the Benghazi terrorist Ahmed Abu Khattala. It only took two years.

Obama has known all that time where almost all of the Benghazi attackers are located. He could have sat down at any coffee shop in Benghazi and had a latte with them.

However, with his administration failing, and his “foreign policy” in shambles, Obama feels a pressing need to “spike the football.” This was a sure thing. As a side benefit, Obama is also giving Hillary Clinton some cover. She has taken a justified battering over the whole episode and sorely needs some shoring up. Unfortunately it won’t take away from the fact that the whole Middle East is in chaos.

The administration is consistent in that it has managed to irritate our friends and enemies with equal ferocity. As a result there is not one country in the world that has better relations with the United States now than it did in 2008.

And, once again, “we the people” are the ultimate losers.
