Slatter doesn’t understand city

The future of Bellevue depends on a well qualified City Council. Elect a well known local long time community leader – Lynne Robinson.

The future of Bellevue depends on a well qualified City Council. The election in November offers a clear choice for Council Position 6.

Vandanna Slater, the unknown woman running for that position, has shown a total lack of understanding of the role of a municipal government. None of her touted experience qualifies her to sit on the council. NARAL and abortion rights are not a municipal issue; serving on the state pharmacy board’ has no relationship to municipal government, nor does sitting on an unrelated foundation board.

Her employer is not a Bellevue business. She shows no knowledge or experience dealing with the complex issues and finances of Bellevue. The majority of her money for the primary election came from out of state;pharmaceutical companies, and their executives, and people who do not live in Bellevue, or from her own wealth.

It was the most expensive race in city history. Hopefully we do not sell seats on our City Council. Elect a well known local long time community leader instead – Lynne Robinson.
