Property value spikes a concern

Assessor's appraised value on condo takes a big jump.

The Sept. 5 article does not even touch the spikes we are seeing in “Old Bellevue.”

I live on Main street in an old condo (20 years). The recent assessor’s appraised value for my condo went up 41 percent. Facing east, I don’t have a view of anything except parking lots and now construction sites.

This seems totally out of line and I am gathering data to appeal. However, I understand our laws put the burden of appeal proof on me with no help from the assessor’s office.

It does not look good.
