Media needs to do a better job

I would like to see more serious in depth reporting regarding the crisis facing this country. Our representatives should have their feet held to the fire.

For example Rep. Dave Reichert has never answered my questions regarding why Canada has had no bank failures or a housing crisis. According to a recent headline in the Seattle Times, Canada’s economy is the envy of the world. Can this be why Reichert refuses to address any questions concerning Canada’s economy versus America’s.

I find representatives in general, when you write them regarding concerns, they or a staff member sends back a response which often doesn’t even come close to the writer’s concerns.

The media has a responsibility as the Fourth Estate to look after the interest of the people, especially those who don’t have the power or resources to defend themselves in a corrupt system. The media also has an obligation to tell the truth providing facts based on science not religious or cultural bias.

The media must be objective, but at the same time not give the public false information using the excuse they are presenting both sides. Any one going to the media must be able to prove he/she are presenting facts. Had the medial followed these guide lines we would not have attacked Iraq.
