Loss of Nature’s Pantry in downtown will be felt

What a shock to go to Nature’s Pantry only to learn that it is closing. “Why?”, I asked. After all, Nature’s Pantry is one of the few shops remaining that has easy access and there is not a maze of other stores to navigate through to find it.

The store is small, the items reasonably priced and the staff consistent, well-informed and friendly. This is not to mention the monumental effort made by Nature’s Pantry and staff to promote good health in our community.

Surely there are fewer people needing to access an already stressed health care system thanks their efforts. And for what? A pizza joint? You’ve got to be kidding.

We already have pizza parlors in main downtown Bellevue. Is this going to be healthy pizza? Non-inflammatory? Full of anti-oxidants? Are they going to serve organic fresh squeezed fruit and vegetable juices for beverages?

I’m going to laugh myself all the way to our friendly local food co-op even though it is a pain in heavy traffic. Nature’s Pantry is/was the best little store in downtown Bellevue.
