In response to Donald Smith’s April 29 letter, I think a lot of people missed the point of the tea party protest. I protested because our tax money is going into corrupt government spending. I do not like the idea of our tax dollars being thrown down the drain by corrupt politicians, both democrat AND republican.

I am all for paying taxes to benefit the country, as anyone with half a brain is. Our country has over $11 trillion created out of thin air and wasted, not to mention the money we actually had (look up fiat money system.)

Our government is out of control. The bailout nation will soon be the bankrupt nation.
