Free enterprise can help VA issue

I recently read an excellent article on “Socialized system caused VA issues” by Roger Stark, a healthcare policy analyst at the Washington Policy Center, who is also a retired physician. He has very valid points leading to: “There is no reason to duplicate our excellent private health-care system with a cumbersome, costly, inefficient government-run system.”

From the various military magazines/papers I personally subscribe to, I see comments from many veterans have to travel 100+ miles to get to a VA hospital to get their care, when good private care is just around the corner from them.

Free care to veterans can be provided through various means that Stark suggested, and get them out of the crowded waiting rooms I have seen in the local VA hospital – for those who have gotten appointments. Free enterprise works, if we get inefficient big government out trying to do the job of private enterprise.
