Foundation can help Bellevue schools

Budget cuts are always difficult especially when they affect our children in Bellevue’s public schools. While many people in Bellevue may feel that their hands are tied and can’t help this problem, one solution still remains.

The Bellevue Schools Foundation (BSF) is an organization whose sole mission is to provide financial support to Bellevue’s public schools. By providing tax-deductible contributions to BSF, community members can help ease the pain of the statewide budget shortfall and its effect on our kids and our schools.

On June 4, BSF is hosting its annual Spring for Schools Luncheon at Meydenbauer Center in order to raise funds for programs that include teaching excellence, academic rigor, and student support. I encourage community members to attend and contribute. Call 425.456.4199 to sign up or donate.

We can’t control the economic downturn, but together, we can ease the burden on schools.
