Control needed on campaign money

There needs to be a control on political campaign contributions. Individuals need to be limited on how much, if any, that they should be allowed to spend on their own campaigns.

There needs to be a control on political campaign contributions. Individuals need to be limited on how much, if any, that they should be allowed to spend on their own campaigns.

Rep. Suzan DelBene spent $4.5 million of her own money on her first two races, and is the 15th richest member of Congress with a worth of $23.9 million – not a representation of the average citizen. Now that a formable candidate is challenging her, another Microsoft retiree, she may have to use more of her wealth to buy her win.

Elections should be based upon the individual’s ability to connect with the people they hope to represent. They need to run their campaign based upon contributions from those who support the candidate’s ideas.

Elections should not be based upon how much money the candidate has, nor money that flows from outside the district/state/country being represented.

We have to get away from He/She who has the most money wins. We all lose under that scenario.
