CO2 letter misses the point

The recent letter from Bill Hirt (“CO2 global warming justification?”) seems to be word-for-word from an article by Marco Marano for a climate change denier website.

The recent letter from Bill Hirt (“CO2 global warming justification?”) seems to be word-for-word from an article by Marco Marano for a climate change denier website.

That website is a project of CFACT, which doesn’t disclose its sponsors, but seems to be funded by Chevron, ExxonMobil, etc.

Finally, I did a little research about the letter’s claim. As far as I can tell, the lag between prehistoric warming and CO2 release is well understood, but irrelevant to understanding the effects of our current CO2 releases.
