City pay increase

I find it interesting that city of Bellevue employees get a 3.3 percent to 3.7 percent cost of living wage increase while state employees will suffer yet another year of 3 percent pay cut. All this while Bellevue is facing a $6.5 million deficit. It has been at least six years since state employees got a COLA.

Regarding the story: “Bellevue workers get cost of living adjustment,” I find it interesting that city of Bellevue employees get a 3.3 percent to 3.7 percent cost of living wage increase while state employees will suffer yet another year of 3 percent pay cut. All this while Bellevue is facing a $6.5 million deficit. It has been at least six years since state employees got a COLA.

Oh, the state employees who live in Bellevue can help pay the city COLA.
