City not well-served by vote on light-rail line

Your story on Sound Transit (Friday, April 30) touched on the politics of the East Link process and related decisions.

The Bellevue City Council did select B7 as it’s “preferred alternative.” Yet the Sound Transit Board of Directors voted unanimously not to include B7 as an ongoing considered alternative to preliminary design. This means that the Bellevue representative on the Sound Transit Board voted HER personal preference, not that of the city of Bellevue. Although she added a lot of gobbledegook words later, she did not walk the talk, and truly represent Bellevue.
