Bellevue council needs change

We’ve been very concerned over the past 4-5 years with some of the actions and conduct on the Bellevue City Council.

Our family moved to Bellevue 16 years ago. We’ve been very happy living in Lake Hills.

Unfortunately we’ve been very concerned over the past 4-5 years with some of the actions and conduct on the Bellevue City Council. The council continues to show an inability to work together for the good of the city. This dysfunction caused significant delays with the light rail project, and also resulted in our city spending tens of thousands of dollars on an ethics investigation.

Since moving to Bellevue in 1997, we’ve worked side-by-side with many other residents to support PTA, Little League, local nonprofits and our school communities. One thing we’ve learned is that regardless of our differences, people in our community can and do work together when it matters. We should expect the same of our Bellevue City Council members.

We hope you’ll also join us in supporting Vandana Slatter. We’ve known Vandana for many years, both on a personal level as parents and community volunteers, and on a civic level through politics. Vandana would represent the diversity that is Bellevue, and we would be fortunate to have her strength, intelligence and wisdom on the council.
