Seattle Seahawk Sidney Rice will partner with the owner-operators of the Wingstop restaurant inn Bellevue to open five new locations in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

“Wingstop is my favorite restaurant. I travel a lot, and as soon as I land, the first thing I do is find the closest Wingstop,” Rice said in a news release on the webpage of the 570-unit chain based in Richardson, Texas.

The area’s first Wingstop opened last October in Bellevue. Rice recently formed Rice Wings, LLC and will partner with Emerald Sound Wings to open five Wingstop locations. Rice’s first restaurants are scheduled to open later this year in Kent and Tacoma.
