Randy Hutson has been named chief executive officer of American Red Cross Serving King & Kitsap Counties. He succeeds Dr. Larry Petry who retires at the end of August.

Hutson is currently the chief operating officer for the organization.

Previously, Hutson was a senior manager for Microsoft Corporation, director of finance at SpaceLabs Healthcare, Inc. and chief financial officer for Zycad Corporation. He will assume his new Red Cross duties September 1.
