Meetings offered on Bellevue tax reporting

Bellevue's tax office will host a pair of meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 24 to update members of the business community about efforts to simplify business and occupations tax (B&O Tax) reporting in Bellevue.

Bellevue’s tax office will host a pair of meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 24 to update members of the business community about efforts to simplify business and occupations tax (B&O Tax) reporting in Bellevue.Both meetings will be in Room 1E-112, on the first floor of City Hall, 450 110th Ave. NE.

The meeting agendas include an update on the multi-city business tax and license portal project, and an interactive session to discuss simplifying Bellevue’s square footage tax. Session one will be from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Session two will be from 1-2 p.m.

Bellevue is collaborating with Seattle, Tacoma, Everett and Bellingham on the B&O portal project, which will make it easier to get a license and pay local taxes online to those cities. Revisions to the city’s square footage tax reporting are part of an ongoing effort to simplify Bellevue’s business taxes.
