KeyBank to stay in Bellevue

KeyBank has reportedly decided to keep its regional headquarters in downtown Bellevue. The company is renewing its lease for 70,000 square feet at the Key Center on 108th Avenue Northeast until 2015, down from about 100,000 square feet the bank leases there now.

There had been speculation that KeyBank might relocate its headquarters to Seattle as its vacancy rates rise and lease rates plummet.

The company will use less space under its new lease due to selling its Key Payroll Online unit, moving a team of employees to its Seattle offices and rearranging offices within the Bellevue high rise.
