Drugstore.com shows record first-quarter revenues

Drugstore.com Inc. reported a company-record $98.3 million in first-quarter revenues, up from $92.6 million a year ago.

The Bellevue-based online pharmacy reported a net income of $1.3 million, a reversal from last year’s $2.7-million loss.

The company in April paid $1.7 million to resolve a sales tax case in New Jersey.

New Jersey tax officials said the company didn’t collect and remit sales taxes to the state between 2000 and 2008.

Drugstore.com said it is targeting net sales in the range of $93 million to $97 million for the second quarter of 2009.
