Dr. Joel Berg of Bellevue, director of The Center, was recently installed as president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).

“The AAPD and The Center share very similar goals,” Berg said. “We all work to improve children’s oral health by emphasizing prevention, including early-childhood checkups. We also inform families how to create a ‘dental home’ environment that promotes better oral health.”

The Center for Pediatric Dentistry is a nonprofit partnership between the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s hospital. The state-of-the-art facility opened at Magnuson Park in Seattle in 2010.
