SR 520 Smarter Highways signs switch on Tuesday

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will activate Smarter Highways on State Route 520 between Interstate 5 and 130th Ave NE in Bellevue on Tuesday to help drivers better navigate one of the state’s toughest daily commutes.

The new high-tech signs will display variable speed limits and lane status over each lane to improve safety and reduce congestion on SR 520.
