Walker is thriving during his freshman season with the Bulldogs

Garfield High School graduate dominates the boards in the Northwest Athletic Conference.

Bellevue Bulldogs freshman men’s basketball player Curtis Walker is averaging the coveted double-double throughout the first eight games of the 2018-19 season.

Walker, who is averaging 15.6 points per game and 13 rebounds per outing, has provided a spark to the Bulldogs basketball program.

“It is very special to me to make an impact right away on this program because I’ve put all of the work in the offseason and leading up to this season,” Walker said.

Walker thoroughly enjoys playing for Bulldogs head coach Donald Brady.

“I enjoy playing under coach Brady because he allows me to play my game and I never have felt more comfortable in a system like this before,” Walker said. “My individual goals on the court this year is to try to lead this team to the NWAC (Northwest Athletic Conference) championship, to average a double-double (per game) and lead the NWAC in most rebounds per game.”

Recently the Bellevue Reporter had an opportunity to ask Walker some questions about his life away from the basketball court.
