Bellevue LifeSpring will match sponsors and needy families for its Adopt-a-Family program this holiday season. Sponsors give both food and gifts to low-income Bellevue families that might otherwise go without.

Last year, Bellevue LifeSpring matched over 1,500 people (mostly kids) with sponsors for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Needy families are screened in-person before being admitted into the Adopt-a-Family program.

Sponsors can be a family, business, church, community organization or just a group of friends. On the designated day, sponsors drop off their donations anytime in the morning. Volunteers help unload the hundreds of collective boxes onto carts to be wheeled inside.

Sponsored families begin arriving at 3 p.m. and over the next few hours, a family will arrive every 90 seconds. Volunteers, ranging from high school students to CEOs, help load food and gifts onto carts and help load their cars.

Those interested in being sponsors can contact Bellevue LifeSpring at 425-451-1175 or online at www.BellevueLifeSpring.org.
