Update: Chef Tom Douglas to show, demonstrate new cooking utensils has been postponed

Tom Douglas and his team of chefs will lead interactive cooking demonstrations at Palace Ballroom in Seattle on Sunday, October 4 designed to inspire confidence in the kitchen.

From 1-3 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to try a variety of utensils and cookware from Douglas’ new product line, Tom Douglas by Pinzon, available exclusively through Amazon.com, while observing chef demonstrations and engaging in hands-on cooking.

Throughout the two-year development phase for Tom Douglas by Pinzon, Douglas selected products that he believes will help at-home chefs feel confident and creative in the kitchen.

Douglas will emcee the event and demonstrate knife techniques and other skills at the front of the Ballroom, and attendees will move between six workstations headed by chefs from Tom Douglas Restaurants.

Kitchen gadget fanatics and food lovers alike will be able to play with the products and learn new techniques to make cooking easier and more fun. Attendees will experiment with products including a grill-top frying pan, a bamboo steamer basket, and a cast iron deep fryer with a skillet lid to cook sake salmon, fried chicken, sizzlers with ouzo-marinated cheese, and salt and pepper calamari.

Wine tastings will be served in glasses from the Tom Douglas by Pinzon line.

Tickets are $25 per person, including tax. To purchase tickets, call 206-448-2001 or christinal@tomdouglas.com.

Palace Ballroom is located at 2100 Fifth Avenue, Seattle.
