Dr. L. Floyd Lewis, a former graduate of Newport High School and National Merit Scholar, will receive a professional award this month from the Group Decision and Negotiation subdivision of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences. The award honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the field.

Lewis is the son of the late Rev. L. Floyd Lewis and Adeline Hustad Lewis, long-time residents of Bellevue.
