Wolverines boys golf team wins 3A state championship

For the first time in school history, the Bellevue Wolverines boys golf team hoisted a state championship trophy.

The Wolverines compiled a total of 602 total team points (low score wins in golf) en route to a 3A state title on May 22 in Lacey. Lakeside finished in second place with a total of 617 team points. Bellevue golfer Ian Siebers earned second place individually in the 3A tournament, compiling 145 total strokes. Wolverines’ golfer Thomas Huang finished in third place with 147 strokes. Wolverines golfer Saum Sabetian finished in 10th place individually and Dylan Bear earned 14th place. The team is coached by Erik Monahan.
