Bellevue police searching for 16-year-old suspect in car theft

Bellevue police blocked off roads in Downtown Bellevue Tuesday as they searched for a suspect connected to a stolen vehicle at around noon.

Bellevue police spokesman Seth Tyler said an officer was at Hopelink Place when he noticed a vehicle that was reported stolen. The suspect, a 16-year-old, then ran away from the vehicle.

A Seattle police K-9 searched the area of Southeast Sixth Street and Bellevue Way but was unable to locate the teen.
